KORETEX is deeply committed to our planet. We strongly advocate for the use of environmentally friendly, recyclable, biodegradable, low-carbon, and sustainable materials in our products. Examples include:

  • Recycled polyester yarn from plastic bottles,

  • Textile-to-textile polyester yarn,

  • Seashell polyester yarn,

  • Ocean-recycled nylon yarn,

  • Low-carbon nylon (PA56) yarn,

  • Paper (Wood pulp) yarn,

  • Recycled nylon yarn from old tires,

  • Biodegradable cotton elastic (Non-spandex)

 

      And we also offer waterless dope dyeing.

Bio-base Nylon 56

Bio-based nylon PA56 is a novel bio-based polyamide, polymerized from the salt of pentanediamine and adipic acid. The pentanediamine used in PA56 is a compound obtained from renewable plants through bio-fermentation and enzymatic conversion. Compared to traditional PA66, which uses fossil fuels for its hexamethylenediamine, PA56 achieves "negative carbon" emissions in its raw material usage, earning USDA BioPreferred certification. With nearly 50% bio-based origin, PA56 possesses excellent environmental characteristics and uses biotechnology to replace petrochemical technology, reducing dependence on petrochemical raw materials.

InResST Fishing net recycling

Fishing net recycling turns discarded nets into new products like yarn, clothing, addressing both marine pollution and resource conservation. The process typically involves collection, thorough cleaning, and shredding the nets into plastic flakes, which are then melted and processed into high-quality regranulate or directly into new materials like yarn. Some advanced methods use chemical recycling or are designed to work "at or close to source" to recover valuable materials from communities.

Sea-shell collection

Sea-shell fabric is an innovative and sustainable textile made from a blend of recycled polyester and discarded oyster shells, providing the fabric better hand feel and multi-functions. Seawool fabric is gaining popularity as an eco-conscious choice in the textile industry, offering a blend of recycled materials, renewable fibers, and performance attributes. It is commonly used in activewear, outdoor apparel, casual clothing, and various other textile applications where sustainability and comfort are valued.

Tire recycle collection

Recycled tire fabric is an environmentally friendly textile made from recycled waste tires. The manufacturing process involves recycling, crushing, and pyrolyzing waste tires to transform them into chemical raw materials, which are then used to create "recycled tire Nylon eco-friendly yarn." This recycled yarn can be rewoven to produce fabrics that combine environmental friendliness with high quality.

Pure cotton (non-spandex) elastic

Elastane, also known as spandex or Lycra, is a synthetic fiber commonly used to provide stretch in fabrics. While elastane offers various benefits in terms of stretch and comfort, it does have environmental considerations. By avoiding the use of synthetic stretch like elastane, fabrics with natural stretch can be considered more environmentally friendly. OriginElastic is 100% pure cotton without any elastane and is typically biodegradable, as well as having a lower environmental impact compared to synthetic stretch fibers.

Paper yarn collection

Wood pulp fabric is an environmentally friendly fabric made from sustainably sourced wood pulp. These fabrics typically possess excellent moisture-wicking, cooling, and skin-friendly properties, and it is a new of environmental sustainability product.

Dope dyed

"Dope dyed" is an innovative, environmentally friendly textile technology. Its core lies in adding masterbatch (colored chip particles) directly during the fiber production stage, giving the fibers color from the moment they are formed, thus completely eliminating the traditional post-dyeing step.
